What is going to be change!
Notice for Administrators: from April 2024, Redwood experience will be streamlined for simpler theming and compact navigation. You won't need to do anything for this upgrade. It will happen automatically.
About Redwood Experience
The Redwood Experience applies the Redwood theme to the current environment providing simplified and compact navigation across Oracle EPM Cloud. When you switch to Redwood Experience, you get the advantage of additional EPM Cloud capabilities such as Dynamic tabs (Dynamic tabs enable you to view multiple artifacts on a single page. A tab that is added at the bottom of the page to the right of the source tab when a related artifact is launched.) and IPM Insights that are enabled with it.
What is about this change!
A notification will be displayed in the home page of Service Administrators. This notice lets the Service Administrators know about the new and streamlined Redwood experience that will be implemented in the April Update (24.04), which will make available these three new Redwood themes -
1.Oracle
2. Custom Dark
3.Custom Light
User who has already enabled Redwood Experience
Appearances of all EPM Cloud environments that already use the Redwood Experience will automatically be shifted to either the default Oracle theme or the Custom Dark theme based on currently deployed background appearance of the environments.
Note that you will not be able to switch back to another theme after you enable the Redwood Experience.
The Oracle theme will be the default Redwood theme for all new environments and existing environments wherein the theme has not been customized.
The Custom Dark theme will be used as the theme for customers who have already implemented theme customizations.
User who has not enabled Redwood Experience
The existing theme on the environment will remain active until the second quarter of 2024 when support for non-Redwood Experience themes will be discontinued. All environments that do not use the Redwood Experience will automatically be migrated to use the Redwood Experience.
Oracle recommends that you switch to Redwood Experience at the earliest.
This change applies to ARCS, FCCS, PCMCS, EPCMCS, FreeForm, Narrative Reporting, Planning, Planning Modules, and Tax Reporting
Business Benefit By supporting simpler theming and compact navigation, the new Redwood themes improve user experience.
